Local Pubs and Restaurants

There are so many excellent pubs and restaurants in the area. You can choose from traditional drinking pubs serving pub classics or renowned gastro pubs and restaurants serving fine food and wines – many using locally sourced ingredients.

If you would like a pub to walk to from the house,  The Red Lion at Little Compton is one of a small number of pubs owned by the local Donnington Brewery with an inglenook fireplace, two bars, a pool table and gardens - just over 2 miles from the house.  Numerous other Cotswold pubs can be found in the pretty villages and towns close by - many with flagstone floors, open fires and lots of character.

If you are looking for one of the renowned local gastro pubs there are lots of places to choose from and here are just a few but please do book in advance!

You will find an extensive selection of restaurants in the local Cotwold towns of Moreton-in-Marsh, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Broadway -  ranging from rustic pizza bars to top quality fine dining.  The newly opened sophisticated Garden Room at the Dormy House Hotel in Saintbury has huge glass doors overlooking the gardens and Russels at Broadway is popular with its alfresco terrace and stylish interior. If you are heading towards Cheltenham, 5 North Street at Winchome is a family Michelin starred restaurant but you will need to book well in advance.
